The company has also made a financial donation to the Susan G. Komen organization.

North Kingstown, Rhode Island (October 19, 2021)—Toray Plastics (America), Inc., announces that it is helping bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2021 with the manufacture of a pink version of its ToraPRO foam sheet. The pink foam sheet is produced by the company’s PEF Division, a state-of-the-art facility located in Front Royal, Virginia. The October event and the color pink, associated with the cause, are recognized worldwide. A Toray customer in the flooring industry purchased 800,000 square feet of the pink foam to be used as an underlayment with laminated and engineered hardwood flooring. It is for sale at select Home Depot stores in the United States. In addition, Toray has donated $2,500 to the Susan G. Komen® organization to assist in furthering the effort to research, prevent, and cure breast cancer. A special fundraising program supported by Telemundo has quadrupled the value of Toray’s donation.

“We are pleased to mark our second year of helping to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month with our pink ToraPRO foam and making a financial contribution to the Susan G. Komen organization,” says Jack White, Director of Sales, PEF Division, Toray Plastics (America), Inc. “We are living in a very challenging time, and it’s important to Toray that it continue to support meaningful causes and help make a difference in people’s lives.”

The ToraPRO foam is precision-engineered, lies flat, retains crisp edges and corners, and delivers consistent thickness, density, and sound-dampening and moisture-barrier properties.
