Toray Plastics (America) Makes Holiday Donations to Toys for Tots and Naval Station Newport’s Caring and Sharing Program

North Kingstown, Rhode Island (December 19, 2019)—Employees of Toray Plastics (America), Inc., gathered on December 6 for the company’s 17th Annual Toys for Tots and Navy Caring and Sharing Breakfast and collected 320 toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program and $2,000 for the Naval Station Newport’s Caring and Sharing program. Ninety Toray employees attended the fundraiser and celebrated the spirit of the season by giving to those less fortunate than themselves. The toys will be given to local families, and the monies will help the Naval Command to provide holiday food baskets to sailors and their families, who might otherwise not be able to have a special holiday dinner.

“We always look forward to this worthwhile, fun annual event,” says Lisa Ahart, Vice President of U.S. Corporate Human Resources and Environment Health and Safety. “The Toray team and company vendors, customers, and community partners always give generously so that others in Rhode Island may enjoy some holiday cheer. We at Toray believe that it’s a privilege to be of service and are grateful to all for demonstrating the true spirit of the holiday.”
