Visit Toray at booth 621
North Kingstown, Rhode Island(March 26, 2019)—The PEF Division of Toray Plastics (America), Inc., is exhibiting an array of leading-edge foam technologies at Foam Expo North America, March 26 – 28, 2019, in Novi, Michigan. The Toray booth is 612. Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, molders, and laminators, and those serving flooring/construction and the other vertical markets featured at the event, are learning about Toray’s advanced, proprietary Toraypef® and ToraSoft® electron beam cross-linked polyolefin foam products. Toray’s unique foaming process of floating materials on a bath of molten salt allows for superior expansion control, which enables the creation of better thickness and density uniformity, in comparison with foamed olefin sheets from other manufacturers. The Division recently completed a $40 million expansion that includes a new extrusion line, a new irradiation unit, and a new salt bath unit. Toraypef and ToraSoft sheets are available globally.
“Innovation by chemistry isn’t just a slogan for Toray Plastics (America), it is at the core of the company’s DNA,” says Jack White, Director of Sales, PEF Division. “Whether manufactured to meet the demands of the global automotive industry or for a challenging industrial application, Toray’s family of irradiation, crosslinked, polyolefin foams are engineered to deliver high performance.”
