Mike Brandmeier, President And CEO Of Toray Plastics (America), Inc., Receives Strategic Leadership Award

North Kingstown, Rhode Island (April 1, 2019)—Mike Brandmeier, President and CEO of Toray Plastics (America), Inc., has received the Providence Business News’s 2019 Manufacturing Award in the Strategic Leadership category. The award was presented to Brandmeier on March 13 at the sixth annual Manufacturing Awards dinner in Providence, Rhode Island. Brandmeier joined Toray in 1995 as the Director of Sales for the Torayfan® Polypropylene Division. He was named President in June 2014. Brandmeier has been a visionary leader who has helped the company to navigate major expansions, market volatility, and significant shifts in the industry while maintaining its leadership position in its core markets and achieving record safety levels. The company is now poised for another expansion and will add a new, state-of-the-art polypropylene film manufacturing line that will enable Toray to increase production capacity and grow its portfolio of materials that can help change peoples’ lives for the better. He has also ensured that Toray has continued to be a responsible environmental steward and active in the Rhode Island community, generously partnering with government, education, and non-profit organizations.
